Deepika On Life After Om Shanti
How was it facing the camera for the first time?
Farah (Khan) made me shoot my first few scenes without dialogues. She knew I was pretty nervous. Gradually, she added dialogues and the first line I spoke was, kutte, kameene! Bhagwan ke liye mujhe chhod de!
How was it working with Shah Rukh in Om Shanti Om (OSO)?
He is very non-starry and down-to-earth and makes you feel comfortable on the sets. If I had any tough scenes, he would practise my lines with me. He would then stay till I finished the shot and leave only after it was okayed.
And how is Farah as a director?
Farah is honest about her work. She’s demanding but also gives you space to do what you want.
Was your voice dubbed in OSO?
No. OSO was shot in sync sound.
There are rumours suggesting that you are dating Ranbir (Kapoor)?
That’s not true. We’re just friends. The media has concocted this story.
What do you have to say about the Ranbir and Sonam pairing?
They’ve worked hard on their movie and I wish them all the best.
Is it true you’ve received loads of offers after OSO?
Yes. Talks are on for some projects. But I’ll talk about it only when I’ve finalised them.
